Thumbsucker pretty much sucks.

Okay, maybe it's just that I am too old for these predictable, run of the mill, say nothing new, coming of age stories.

No, I go back to my original statement. Thumbsucker sucks.

What have we got here? There is a kid who sucks his thumb and in trying to break this habit he goes on Ritalin which turns him into superteen and breaks him out of his shell. He begins to see the hypocrisy of the adult world around him which bums him out until someone tells him basically that it's okay cause no one really knows what they are doing.

Yes, you've all seen this many times before. Yes, you've all seen it done better many times before. Yes, I guess if you are 16 and haven't seen many movies or read many books, maybe some of these ideas will be new to you but if you have ever pulled your head out of your own butt for more than 5 minutes Thumbsucker will seem like tired, old ideas packaged in a tired, slow moving movie.

Tilda?? What were you thinking? Keanu? Well, I guess you are right at home in a predictable mess.

Skip Thumbsucker unless you are a sheltered teenager with no exposure to ideas.
